Day of Action- Our First Stand: Save Healthcare

The Rhode Island Congressional delegation is hosting a rally on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Johnston Senior Center to push back on Republican efforts to repeal Obamacare.  I write to invite you and your members to attend.  In addition, we would appreciate if you would be so kind as to send the email below along with the attached flyer to your membership.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  Thank you very much.

President-elect Trump and the Republican leadership in Congress have moved to repeal the Affordable Care Act as their first order of business this year. Repealing this important law would take away health insurance coverage from over 96,000 Rhode Islanders who rely on this coverage to meet their basic health needs.  We all need to work together and make sure all Rhode Islanders can get quality, affordable health care.

This Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Johnston Senior Center (1291 Hartford Ave., Johnston), Senators Reed and Whitehouse and Congressmen Langevin and Cicilline, will host a rally to oppose the Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and make cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.  The delegation welcomes you to attend and join us as we vigorously voice our opposition to any effort that would deprive Rhode Islanders of the benefits they rely on.

We need you to join us and stand up and be heard.  Please share this invitation with any interested parties. RSVP to George Carvalho, State Director for Senator Whitehouse at george_carvalho@whitehouse.senate.gov by Thursday, January 12, at 12:00pm. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
